  1. Prepare the Test
    Remove the test device from the foil pouch and place it on a clean, flat surface.
    Twist off the cap from one reagent capsule.
  2. Add the Reagent
    Squeeze the entire contents of the reagent capsule into the sample well of the test device.
  3. Collect & Process the Specimen
    Collect the patient sample using the swab provided.
    Insert the swab into the sample well and rotate it 3 times in the same direction.
    Leave the swab in the device for 1 minute.
    After 1 minute, rotate the swab 3 additional times in the same direction.
    Remove and discard the swab.
  4. Activate the Test
    Stand the test device upright on its flat end and gently tap it once to allow the reagent to flow into the sample well.
  5. Run the Test
    Return the device to a flat surface.
    Allow the test to develop for 15 minutes.
    Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.

Result Interpretation

  • Negative: Only the Control (C) line appears.
  • Influenza A Positive: Both the Control (C) line and the A line appear.
  • Influenza B Positive: Both the Control (C) line and the B line appear.
  • Invalid: If the Control (C) line does not appear, the test is invalid and must be repeated with a new device.
    Note: If both the A and B test lines appear, the result should be confirmed according to your laboratory or facility protocol before reporting.
