  1. Collect the Sample
    Using the provided nasal swab, collect a specimen from both nostrils according to the Instructions for Use.
  2. Prepare the Sample
    Place the swab into the extraction reagent tube. Stir the swab at least 10 times while squeezing the sides of the tube, then remove and discard the swab.
  3. Seal the Tube
    Secure the provided dropper tip onto the extraction tube.
  4. Apply the Sample
    Invert the tube and dispense 2 drops of the processed sample into the sample well of the test cassette.
  5. Wait 15 Minutes
    Place the test on a flat surface and allow it to develop. Read the results at 15 minutes. Do not interpret results after 20 minutes.
  6. Interpret the Results
    Positive: Both the Control (C) and Test (T) lines appear (even a faint test line is considered positive).
    Negative: Only the Control (C) line appears.
    Invalid: The Control (C) line does not appear. Repeat the test with a new device.

Important Notes

  • Store the test kit at 2°C–30°C (36°F–86°F). Do not freeze.
  • Bring all components to room temperature before testing.
  • Use only the swabs provided with the kit.
  • Read results between 15–20 minutes for accurate interpretation.
  • For Prescription Use and CLIA Waived settings using anterior nasal swab specimens.
  • Negative results are presumptive and should be interpreted alongside clinical findings.

Intended Use

The Nano-Check™ RSV Test is intended for the qualitative detection of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) antigen in anterior nasal swab specimens collected from symptomatic patients. It is intended to aid in the diagnosis of RSV infection and should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical findings and other diagnostic information. Negative results are considered presumptive and may require confirmation with a molecular assay when clinically indicated.
