  1. Bring to room temperature. Allow the test strip, urine specimen, and/or controls to reach room temperature before testing.
  2. Open the pouch. Remove the test strip from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible.
  3. Dip the test strip. With the arrows pointing toward the urine specimen, immerse the strip vertically into the urine for at least 10 seconds. Do not immerse past the MAX line.
  4. Remove and place flat. Take the strip out of the urine and place it on a clean, dry, non-absorbent flat surface. Start the timer.
  5. Read the result at 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 5 minutes.

Results

Positive: Two colored lines appear — one in the Control (C) region and one in the Test (T) region. A faint test line should still be considered positive.

Negative: One colored line appears in the Control (C) region, with no line in the Test region.

Invalid: No Control (C) line appears. Repeat the test using a new strip.

Storage

Store packaged tests at 2°C–30°C (36°F–86°F). The test is stable through the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch. Do not freeze.
